I was thrilled to receive the Vegamour GRO+ Advanced Essentials kit to review, as it is specifically designed to stop shedding and protect hair from further damage. I was sent the GRO+ Advanced serum, balancing shampoo and conditioner. It is all entirely plant-based which is important to me in any haircare products as a vegan.

The secret to using the shampoo is to keep it on for one minute so that the protective ingredients can soak in, before washing it off. When it comes to the conditioner, keep it on for at least two minutes so that the nutrients can do their job. The serum can be used on wet or dry hair, but I prefer to use it on wet hair. It is left in so that it can work its magic as you go about your day.

Vegamour products always smell great, and I can confirm that it was the same with this trio. The active ingredients to strengthen and volumise hair are Spanish microalgae, plant stem cells, marula oil and niacinamide. The microalgae are good for the skin as algae is full of great nutrients. Plant stem cells contain proteins which can strengthen hair. Marula oil is a natural moisturiser for the hair and finally, niacinamide is a type of vitamin B3 which can help keep the skin on your scalp healthy.

Vegamour GRO+ balancing shampoo

The shampoo and conditioner kept my hair really lovely and moisturised, without weighing it down. It also felt clean which is very important as this is the basic function of a shampoo! The trick is to keep using it in order to get results, which is how you can get hair that feels stronger and thicker. I loved using the serum as it didn’t make my hair feel greasy like some of them do. My tip is to use a comb to make sure that it goes all the way down to the ends of your hair which are always the driest area for me!

Overall, Vegamour always delivers on making hair feel stronger and mine didn’t seem to shed as much while using the kit. It’s also an easy three-step system which can be incorporated into any routine, even as a busy parent. For me, it’s the TLC that my coloured hair needs and I can turn to this whenever I need to thicken and invigorate my mane.
