I was very happy to receive these ace Vegamour hair products because as a vegan it’s so important to me that my beauty regime is completely cruelty-free!

They were offered to me for a review and one thing I was happy to see was brown paper packaging inside – no styrofoam to be seen!

I received the GRO revitalizing shampoo and conditioner along with the GRO Biotin gummies for hair and the pure marula oil.

I liked the lavender colour for the GRO range as it suited my bathroom down to the ground.

The gummies came in a glass jar which is great for recycling but it also looks better on the shelf where I have it out to remind me to take them every morning.

The shampoo and conditioner are both made with Karmatin™ which is a vegan silk keratin (like the stuff your nails are made from) to strengthen your hair, which is great as this ingredient is normally derived from animal products.

Their formulations are also free from GMOs, parabens, phthalates, sulfates, silicones, mineral oils or any synthetic fragrances.

This is especially good for me as I need gentle products as pregnancy made my hair so dry and it hasn’t recovered even now my child is born! It lathers up really well which is essential for me as I have a lot of hair which takes ages to wash otherwise.

I was happy as it didn’t mess with my colour, left my hair clean but not dry or drier than before as well as having a nice Bergamot smell that wasn’t too overpowering.

On to the conditioner which uses the same technology but it includes nourishing ingredients to condition your hair like murumuru seed butter which is a miracle worker!

Having seed oils in it definitely helped it to coat my hair without weighing it down as harsh chemical ingredients tend to really strip my hair of moisture.

I’m happy to say this wasn’t the case and it kept my hair well-moisturised, especially at the ends which have probably been bleached one too many times! It also has a lovely Bergamot scent to match the shampoo.

Once I’d dried my hair I had the option of using pure marula oil to keep it smooth so I applied a tiny bit to the ends. I wouldn’t use it every day as it would be too much but the benefit of this versatile product is that you can use it on your face too! Not to mention your body if it gets dry in winter.

Traditionally, it has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, so it can be used for rashes, stretch marks, dry skin conditions and as a massage oil amongst other benefits.

It was great to use just before bedtime as my skin was so soft in the morning – my baby couldn’t stop touching it!

Naturally, skincare also comes from what you put into your body and these gummies contain vegan biotin and iodine as well as vitamins A, B5, B6, B12, C and E.

They are strawberry-flavoured hearts and I loved the taste although I have to say that I’ve never met a gummie I didn’t like!

My hair certainly started to grow stronger and shinier once I started these which I need postpartum so I will definitely be continuing to take them.

Have you tried any Vegamour products? If you did then let me know your thoughts in the comments below. I’d love to hear them!
